Our people are at the centre of everything we do, whether that’s our team or clients, so looking after them goes beyond job titles and project deadlines. That’s why work-life balance is a priority, not a perk at Hybrid. We know that when people feel supported, they perform better. It’s that simple.
Earlier this year, we launched a company wide 12-week fitness challenge, designed to bring our team together around one goal: feeling better, inside and out.
Led by the in house personal trainer Callum Baines, the challenge focused on building healthier habits, increasing movement, and creating space for wellbeing in busy daily life. From engineers on site to our office based teams, everyone had the chance to get involved and they did.
There were early gym sessions, lunchtime walks, evening circuits, and a lot of shared accountability. But this wasn’t about pressure or a one size fits all approach. The commitment made was to feel better, with real support along the way, and the results speak for themselves:
- 53% of participants saw a reduction in stress
- 69% noticed improved focus at work
- 92% improved their personal health rating
- 92% experienced positive weight loss
But beyond the numbers, the impact was clear in the culture. People felt more energised, teams noticed an increase in connection, and the overall mindset shifted to not just showing up for yourself, but for each other.
Even now, months down the line, the gym groups, step challenges, and check-ins are still going strong. The focus has shifted from perfection to consistency, creating habits that build lasting change, both personally and professionally.
Callum played a huge role in this journey, bringing structure, clarity, and expert guidance that helped people push past mental barriers and stay on track. Whether it was tailored workout plans, nutrition advice, or just a bit of accountability when motivation dipped, he gave the team what they needed to succeed.
We’re proud to be building a culture where wellbeing is part of the core values, not just an afterthought or buzzword. It’s how we work and how we look after each other. Because when our people feel better, our projects are stronger, our service is sharper, and our clients feel the benefit too.
