Hybrid Electrical Solutions are pleased to announce the Roundhill and Southwick Planned Preventative Maintenance Contract – awarded until October 2028.

Following the award of the TaPS eight year M&E Maintenance contract, in March 2020 Hybrid Electrical Solutions was awarded a subsequent eight year M&E contract for Roundhill tunnel. The team were asked to carry out the Electrical Installation Condition Report at both the Roundhill and Southwick Tunnels.

Following the report, Hybrid ES worked on a proposal to carry out the Planned Preventative Maintenance on various Electrical and Mechanical assets across both tunnels, and we are pleased to announce that the team has now been awarded the M&R contract to carry out the maintenance at both tunnels until October 2028.

The award of this contract is down to the hard work, service and expertise that the Hybrid ES team provides within the UK road tunnels sector.

Tony Nicholas, Tunnels and Structures Regional Manager at Kier, said:

Having now worked with Hybrid on the Area 3 contract for over a year, I have experienced good workmanship with great professional staff in driving Hybrid forward into the Tunnels industry. I’m keen to have Hybrid continue their relationship with Kier on the Area 4 contract with future works in the pipeline.

Jonny Smethurst, Hybrid Electrical Solutions Contracts Manager added:

To be awarded the M&R contract at Southwick and Roundhill until 2028 is down to the service and expertise that the Hybrid ES team have provided Kier with over the past 8 years. To be able to add these tunnels to our portfolio is a testament to the hard work from the whole team.
