Hybrid Electrical Solutions was approached by Kier, the UK’s leading highway services provider, to deliver the Hindhead Tunnel contract on their behalf.
The contract, which will run from 8 years to October 2028, comprises the maintenance and operational response for the strategic road network, which covers 237 km of motorway on the M27, M3, M4 and, 259 km of trunk road, around 740 bridges, and the longest non-estuarial road tunnel in the UK – the Hindhead Tunnel.
Over the course of the contract, our team will be responsible for tunnel lighting, HV & LV assets, radars, cross passage and niche emergency indicator lighting, EIC reports, crown containment and emergency call outs. Drawing on our long-standing experience and expertise, we will use the latest technology to drive innovation, personalisation and a positive environmental & social impact in the area, while providing safe & efficient roads.
Our ES team recently completed the first year of the contract, with very successful results, and are optimistic about the years to come.
